Your administrator account

This device is being set up in strict mode. QCF will create a Windows administrator account for you and remove administrator rights from the everyday account. You'll be the only person who can change or remove the filter on that PC.

At least 12 characters. Save it somewhere safe — QCF does not keep a copy, and losing it means losing administrator access to that PC. Once setup finishes, sign in to that account once and change the password.

Site and app requests waiting for your decision. Approving observes the cool-down; denying takes effect immediately.

Programs that are allowed if the optional outbound app firewall is enabled. It is off by default so ordinary apps keep internet access. Approving an app never widens the domain, category, or time rules — those still apply on top.

Domain summaries only — QCF never uploads page URLs, titles, searches, or profile names.

Domain policy

Tightening takes effect immediately. Loosening needs the Update passcode and waits out the cool-down.

Blocked categories

These are added on top of the domain mode above. Explicitly allowed domains remain exceptions.

Regular internet hours

Choose the normal hours when internet is available on each day. A disabled day has no regular internet access.

Advanced half-hour schedule

Checked means allowed. Use this grid only when a day needs more than one allowed period.

Nightly curfew

Curfew is separate from regular hours. During curfew the internet is blocked every day, even if the regular schedule says it is allowed.

Browser enforcement

Autoplay blocking does not prevent someone pressing Play. To block major video sites, enable the Streaming category above.

App network control

Advanced. Domain filtering still works when this is off. Turning it off requires the Update passcode and cool-down.

Estimated from signed QCF and Presence Sentinel check-ins every five minutes. This shows when the computer was online; it does not claim the person was actively browsing for the entire time.

Pause missed-heartbeat escalation for planned travel or time without internet. No charge can happen while this is on.

Accountability partners

Invite another partner by email. They must sign in with that exact address before they can receive primary custody.

Only partners who accepted their invitation can be selected. Switching replaces every old code.

Offline allowance

Wait this many days when the whole computer is offline. If the independent monitor proves the computer is online without QCF, the partner is alerted immediately regardless of this value.

Authorized removal

Creates a signed authorization valid for ten minutes. The Windows uninstaller requires this file, and using it means no stake is charged.
